It has been announced that users of Mailchimp and Shopify can now integrate the two platforms, connecting their Mailchimp and Shopify accounts seamlessly. This has rid of the need for e-commerce operators to manually transfer data or pay for separate integration facilities.

This rollout has been actioned just in time for the influx of traffic e-commerce platforms expect from Christmas shoppers.

The new capability aims to enhance e-commerce revenue by giving users enhanced analytics and a better facility for ‘Big Data’ management. Now, users can access live purchasing and marketing data all on one dashboard. As well as accurately profiling customers, this integration will improve the buying journey significantly and help e-commerce platform owners to encourage repeat custom through various automation services.

This comes shortly after Mailchimp’s acquisition of Shopify’s ShopSync app.

“Last year, Mailchimp customers generated 36% more orders they did in 2019, showing just how important having an online presence for commerce and retail businesses really is. We’re thrilled to have partnered with Shopify again ahead of our customers’ busiest season to make it easier for merchants to reach their customers, sell more stuff, and be successful” a spokesperson from Mailchimp commented.

“As our merchants prepare for the holiday season and continue to adjust to the new realities of commerce, we’re excited to welcome Mailchimp to the Shopify Partner Ecosystem,” said Fatima Yusuf, Director of Commercial, App Ecosystem, Shopify.

“The combined power of Mailchimp’s suite of marketing tools and Shopify’s robust commerce infrastructure will level the playing field and unlock even more opportunity for independent businesses to grow and succeed into the future.”

Are you an e-commerce platform owner? If so, will you be making use of this new Mailchimp-Shopify integration facility? We would love to hear your thoughts on this.
