With our business gaining traction across the UK and beyond, 2022 looks to be an exciting year for Add to Cart. And now, we’ve caught the attention of some of the biggest names in Wales’ burgeoning Financial Technology, or FinTech, sector.

On the 24th May, the FinTech Awards Wales, hosted by Recruit 121 Group and sponsored by Confused.com, announced the shortlist of companies nominated for their 2022 awards. And we’re delighted to announce that we’ve made the cut.

Over the years, Wales has grown to become the fastest-growing digital economy outside of London, with thousands of innovators and start-ups making their home in cities such as Swansea, Cardiff, and Newport. And ever since 2019 the FinTech Awards Wales has sought to reward the stars of this industry, recognising their efforts in making the sector the thriving success story that it is today.

Last year, innovative FinTech companies such as Yoello, Tramshed Tech, and Sorodo earned themselves coveted awards at the star-studded annual ceremony. And this time round, an equally impressive line-up of companies and individuals has been shortlisted across a total of 14 categories – including Add to Cart.

Thanks to our innovative approach to problem-solving and our early successes with customers and investors alike, we’ve been nominated in the New Product of the Year category – and we couldn’t be happier. At Add to Cart, we’re proud to stand alongside the prime of Welsh FinTech and represent the brightest and best start-ups our region has to offer.

Speaking to Business News Wales, FinTech Wales co-chair and CEO Sarah Williams-Gardener said, “The resilience and hywl of the Welsh has been demonstrated in abundance, our FinTech sector continues to thrive. We have seen new companies choosing Wales as the place to establish and grow their innovative FinTech Start-up. We have seen positive investments being made in our scaling of FinTech, resulting in strong and positive growth. These awards recognise innovation, individuals, and investment in teams, showcasing the exciting high quality of FinTechs we have in our world class ecosystem.”

So will Add to Cart win New Product of the Year? We’re confident that our marketplace has something new and exciting to offer, and we’re proud of our connections to the Welsh FinTech industry. But like everyone else we’ll need to wait until the ceremony on September 15 in Cardiff to find out the results!
