The Panzer V Panther Ausf. G "Pudel" is a historically significant tank captured and utilised by Polish forces during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Originally a German medium tank, the Panther was renowned for its superior firepower, armour, and mobility, key assets on the Eastern and Western fronts during World War II.
The "Pudel," meaning "Poodle," was commandeered by the Polish Home Army after its German crew abandoned it. Repainted with Polish markings and insignia, it became a powerful symbol of resistance against German occupation. Despite limited resources, the insurgents ingeniously operated the tank, showcasing their determination. Today, the Pudel remains a poignant reminder of Polish bravery and the tactical adaptability of resistance movements in wartime.
