These Elm Gold Plate real leaf earrings are stunning and can be worn with our matching folia pendant collection. Each earring measure approximately 30mm x 20mm.
Our stunning leaves are skeletonised to leave their veins intact. The leaf is then preserved through electroforming, a process where the leaf is slowly encased in copper to strengthen it. The leaf is finished in a heavy layer of 24-carat gold. Their size, shape and patination will vary, enhancing their individual nature and creating a truly unique piece of jewellery.
Elm trees in Britain can grow to become some of the largest and tallest trees and are one of the very few trees that are native both to England and Scotland. The elm tree is associated with Mother Earth and Earth Goddesses and is believed to energise the heart and mind. It aids love, provides protection and sharpens intuition. The elm strongly symbolises strength as it offers many medicinal properties, often used to treat colds and sore throats whilst the boiled bark was used to treat burns.
