It is a combination of ski rack, snowboard rack and ski equipment organiser. It willsafely storeall your expensive gear in just 1M of wall space,off the floor and out of the way where its clean and dry.
The racks come with 2, 4 or 6 x 300mm long GearHooks. Each onetakes2 pairs of skis* or 1 snowboardso you can store up to12 pairs of skis, 6 snowboardsor any combination of skis and boards.

Each GearHook can be fitted anywhere on the rail and be moved up or down tostagger the bindings. Thisallows the most pairs of skis or boards to be stored in the minimum amount of wall space.
You can order a rail with just the right number of hooks (you can always order more later) or order onewith more hooks and useany spareones to store clothing, transceiver, probes, shovel, backpacks, helmets and much more.
Each ski rack comprises a 1M long steel rail which is galvanised and powder coated inyour choice of colour. Each 300mm long GearHook has a 25mm gap and is made from cold formed, zinc plated, mild steel with a soft rubber coating. GearHooks are fitted to the rail with a CNC machined clamp, M8 hex head (Allen key) bolt and sliding nut. The end result isasstrong as a custom welded rack but you can add or move hooks whenever you want.There are other hooks (available separately) for more skis, snowboards, boots, clothing, helmets, backpacks, transceivers, shovels and probes.
Different ski type limitations
Mounting 12 pairs of adult Piste skis or a mix of adult and child skis on a rack creates very different loads and stresses compared to 12 pairs of All Mountain, Powder or Fat skis.
We do not recommend putting 2 pairs of heavy skis (likeAll Mountain, Powder or Fat skisover 7KG) on one hook as this may cause the rail to flex.
One pair of Heavy skis should be mounted closest to the wall.These may also spread the prongs of the hook and, if they, or the next pair of skis, have a small tip rocker, they may slip through the prongs. We supply a velcro strap to prevent this happening. This should be fitted after the first pair of skis.
Ifyou have more than 6 pairs of heavy skis and bindings, you may need extra wall fixings. In some cases, with all heavy skis, you may be limited to one pair of skis per hook.
We also produce a rack for up to 6 pairs of skis which may be a better option for over 6 pairs of skis that are over 7kg.
Specifications
Each GearHook is made from 8mm thick cold formed, zinc plated, mild steel with a soft rubber coating. Please note : If you plan to store skis and snowboards on the same rail : snowboardsresting on their bindings will stick up above the ski tips by about 0.5M. An alternative to this is to store two snowboards back-to-back and hang them by their tips.
