Japanese Pittosporum. Mock Orange. Pittosporum tobira. Evergreen large shrub with leaves broadest towards the ends, bright glossy green and growing in whorls, among which are orange scented flowers in summer, creamy white at first then turning yellow. It is an excellent wall shrub or hedging shrub and is very drought resistant.
Introduced to UK in 1804.
Recommended planting distance for a Hedge / Screen is 2 plants per metre.
