Green Panda bamboo.Fargesia Rufa Is one of the most upright bamboos, with lovely dull green straight canes.
Supplied: 15 Litre (approx.120-150cm tall plants) black growers' pots, they will be 150-180cm tall this summer.The emerging stems are a startling green and show up well against the white stem sheaths in the spring.
This bamboo will reach up to 3 metres in height in time and is a well-behaved clump forming (non-invasive) bamboos which will not mind growing in a shady spot.
This Fargesia is the most tolerant of being placed in a sunny position, however if your spot is shadier, it will also grow in partial shade.
Position: full sun to part shade; out of cold, drying winds - especially coastal winds.
Soil: all soils but avoid waterlogged areas; very dry soils will need extra watering.
Eventual size: This bamboo can grow up to 3 metres.
